Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi & Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Your journey begins with a morning transfer from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90,000-acre sanctuary that is home to the only remaining northern white rhinos in the world. After arriving at your luxury lodge, settle in and enjoy a delicious lunch, then embark on your first game drive to explore the conservancy’s stunning landscapes. Ol Pejeta is home to a wide range of species, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and the critically endangered rhinos.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge, followed by a relaxing night in the heart of the conservancy.
Day 2: Full Day at Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Spend the day exploring the diverse wildlife of Ol Pejeta. On your morning game drive, visit the rhino sanctuary, where you can learn about the intensive conservation efforts protecting these magnificent animals. After lunch at your lodge, embark on an afternoon game drive to search for more wildlife, including the Big Five. Upon arrival, head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to visit the elephant orphanage, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the organization’s efforts to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned elephants. You will be able to watch the young elephants as they play and learn about their fascinating rehabilitation journey.
Spend some time at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust museum and get involved in the ongoing efforts to protect elephants in Kenya. In the evening, return to your hotel for dinner and relax.
Day 6: Visit Giraffe Centre & Ngong Hills
After breakfast, enjoy a visit to the Giraffe Centre, where you can feed and interact with the endangered Rothschild giraffes. This is an incredible opportunity to get up close to these gentle giants.
